DVD Players take the idea of making your car an extension of your home one step further. Obviously not something to be used by the driver when at the wheel, these can be great for kids on long journeys, taking a break from that long journey to relax and watch a film or brush up on your presentation in the office car park before a meeting. These can come in varying forms and budgets, from the portable DVD players to headrest mount screens.
Our favorite is the sun visor DVD player. We have only seen these available in America at the moment but for $300 it is affordable and has some great features. With the screen and player built into the visor it means when the visor is in the up position nobody will be able to tell the difference and being easily removable, means you can hide it away from any undesired attention. As with the iPod car kits, it includes an FM transmitter which means you can make the best of your cars speaker system for the film audio. Just make sure your not going to be easily distracted as a driver if your passenger is enjoying something that you would like to watch too.
